Reducing the Dosage #33 – So Much Better / 3.7 mg

The Reducing the Dosage series is a collection of videos following my journey as I wean myself off of Lamotrigine, which is a mood stabilizer often prescribed for bipolar disorder.

Dosage (0:18-5:24): I am at 3.7 mg! Apparently my math was wrong on the last few videos, as I’ve actually been going down by 0.01 mL a day which is actually .125 mg a day. (I say 0.1 mL a day in this video as in the others, but now I realize that’s not true because I’m going down by one small tick on the syringe every day. Nobody said engineers were good at common sense math).

What I’ve Been Up To / How I’ve Been Feeling / Healing Actions I’m Taking: I’m feeling So Much Better! Thanks to 1. Yoga, 2. Meditation, and 3. Removing my IUD/finally getting off of birth control after ten years of not bleeding. I suspect this had a significant impact on the development and persistence of the “mood disorder” in the first place. Oh, the pitfalls of modern medicine…
