Perfect Darkness

I found darkness
Ineffable darkness
In the muscles
Above my stomach

Despair
Grief
Dread
Insufficient words to describe
The empty hole
Where depths of discontent
Collect like cobwebs
In my body

When touched they scream
Horrific sounds of terror
And send black death
Up my torso
Filling my head

The light I send
Only shrouds
The pure darkness
As it claims its right to
Exist

As its Creator
I speak to the darkness
Of Who I Am
And how it is my
Creation

Like a dogs ears perking up
At the sound of a homecoming owner
The darkness transforms
Into balls of colored light
Forever changed
With the knowledge of its
Perfection

Nothing can replace
The healing of
Knowing
The darkness
Is not an accident
After all.
