Today the sky cried with me
Just a momentary lapse in time until his tears crashed down to meet mine
Mesmerized, I step outside
To find my bare feet on the pavement
And I let the tears kiss my skin with the force of tough love
(as if their acceleration and mass were multiplied to form a perfect vector for empathy…)
In this moment I knew that the sky is listening
That the swallowtail who tapped on my window was saying hello
That the horsefly who chased me was a reminder not to feed my demons
And the rabbit a symbol of the wisdom which lies within
Miraculous is the magic of nature
Subtly in tune with our every thought and feeling, mirroring our every move
The perfect dance partner
To the blues and soul that is life
